Pinoy Power Radio 101.5 FM DJ Allan Alvarez introduces KILROY vocalist Doyle Purdy and guitarist Richard Barber.

They discuss the history and formation of the band as well as recording the soon-to-be-released debut CD at Highway Recording Studio with sound engineer Phil Keat.

Doyle and Richard discuss their musical influences and the songwriting process in coming up with original rock music which they play around the island of Oahu.

Doyle and Allan talk about Tarlac in The Philippines and the extensive talent and bands there.

Finally, Doyle and Richard play an acoustic version of Love Don't Hate.


Part 2


During the commercial break Allan, Doyle and Richard discuss playing acoustically and how acoustic performance brings out the music of a song.

Doyle discusses the influence, meaning and songwriting process behind Love Don't Hate while Richard talks about his aim of 'punctuating a song, not obliterating it'.

Doyle and Richard talk about how long they've been playing guitar and singing as well as what got them into picking up the instrument and why they play in a band.

Allan discusses his visions for "The Allan Alvarez Experience" and music from The Philippines.

Richard and Doyle play an acoustic version of Compromise.
